Packing hints
To avoid freight damage in connection with return for potential repair, the following should be regarded:
- Monitor shall preferably be packed in the original box together with surrounding impact damping material.
- In those cases where the original packing is not used, the monitor shall be packed in equivalent packing. It is important that the monitor is fixed in the box with impact-dampening material of a five centimeter minimum thickness.
- ”Chips” or ”Popcorn” are not appropriate as impact-dampening material as this material moves under the influence of the monitor’s weight and vibrations in connection with transport.
- Loose polystyrene beads become statically charged and can thereby cause electrical damage to certain components in the monitor.
By following this advice, costly and time-consuming repairs can be avoided.
